The Inn at Weathersfield, Woodstock, Vermont

When A and M originally came to us they dreamt of an al fresco summer affair somewhere in the Northeast. But after a venue scouting trip in the winter, they couldn’t imagine not gathering an intimate group of friends and family for a snowy, December wedding at The Inn at Weathersfield in Vermont. A snowy wedding is exactly what they got when a large snowstorm moved across the state just ahead of their wedding weekend. It was the perfectly frosted day. We leaned into a wedding palette focused on shades of green, warm wood, and black knowing the showstopper of their day would be the long, communal dining table at the inn. Guests were treated to crackling fires and warm cider at the historic inn upon arrival. The hygge vibe only grew from there with guests encircling the bride and groom while our best men gave a very heartfelt, funny toast and A + M cut their Soul Cake wedding cake featuring preserved citrus and textured buttercream. Guests enjoyed an elaborate multi-course dinner full of convivial conversation. Seasonal nightcaps were offered before guests made their way to their rooms for the evening.
