The Gadsden House, CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA

M + P longed for a southern spring wedding, but when the pandemic had other plans we brought their seasonless, fresh palette to their new fall date at the beautiful Gadsden House in Charleston. Steel blue grounded a palette composed of tones of yellow, peach, pink, and white. Organic, loose, and approachable florals set the stage for a casual, chic day. Their design was built around family and the warmth of love felt at big family gatherings. As such, a menu with something for everyone was a must. Fan favorite southern specialties of fried chicken and bbq pulled pork were served alongside she crab soup and oysters on the half shell. All guests received a homemade bottle of limoncello, a nod to P’s Italian heritage. They had a perfect weather day and following the ceremony held in the oyster tabby courtyard, guests were invited to enjoy the Gadsden’s piazzas for cocktail hour. Dinner was served al fresco under the glow of cafe lights and guests danced the night away under the stars.
